Patrol Division

The Patrol Division of the Purcell Police Department consists of 15 uniformed division officers that are highly trained to meet the demands of the City of Purcell citizens and our visitors. A uniformed police officer is the most recognizable image of law enforcement in America, and is the backbone of any police department.

Programs

The Patrol Division is highly regarded in our community. They are skilled in assorted Law Enforcement disciplines making their knowledge well-rounded. The Patrol Division is involved in the following programs:

  • Crisis Intervention Teams
  • Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) in schools
  • Defensive Driving Tactics
  • Field Training
  • Field Training Officers
  • Incident Command System of NIMS
  • Rapid Response to Critical Incidents

About the Commander

The Patrol Division Commander is Lieutenant James Bolling. Lieutenant Bolling ensures his team completes any mission with Integrity, Respect, and Professionalism. Lieutenant Bolling wears many hats on a daily basis to include:

  • Fiscal requirements for Patrol
  • Fleet Management
  • Policy audits
  • Recruitment
  • Scheduling /special assignments
  • Supervision
  • Training Coordinator for the whole Department
