Independence Day Celebration

July 2nd, 2021

Our yearly Independence Day Celebration is held at Purcell City Lake with a combination of food, games, and fireworks!  The fireworks show is made possible through donations from the City of Purcell, local businesses, and the citizens of our community!  Different food trucks and booths set up at Chandler Pavilion on the south side of Purcell City Lake, just across the road from the Purcell Multipurpose Center.

Food Trucks - 5:00pm

Come out and enjoy burgers from Chris' Grill and Frozen Treats, ice cream from Contrabandz Ice Cream Lab, state fair food from Carnival Eats & Treats, fresh kettle corn from Oklahoma Kettle Corn, get a snow cone from Mr. Yeti's Snow Cones, and a hot cup of coffee from Bearded Bro Coffee!

Fun & Games - 5:00pm

There is something for the whole family at Purcell City Lake!  Landmark Church will be hosting a free-throw basketball game!  Sand volleyball, beach swimming, fishing, mountain biking, and the Lake Trail are all at your disposal!

If you are interested in setting up a booth, please contact (405) 527-7227 or email parks@purcellok.gov for more information!

Live Music

Belle Starr Saloon is sponsoring live music by Middle of Nowhere Band!

Fireworks - 9:45 pm

The fireworks show originates from the northeast corner of the lake where the lake dam meets the cemetery.  Come out to the lake, pick a nice spot, and enjoy the show!
